Gathering Moss
by Robin Wall Kimmerer

This is maybe my favourite book. I picked it up because I'm interested in moss and then when I saw the author was Robin Wall Kimmerer I made a sound of happiness out loud because I am so cool and also because I knew this was going to be very special. I took ages to read this, because it's kind of like walking through a forest and listening to her talk to you. It's slow, gentle, fascinating, insightful, perceptive, and beautiful. It's now my life's mission to find schistostega moss, or goblin gold. It changes your perceptions of the world just a bit. I hope she writes so many more books.

What You Are Looking For Is In The Library

This book is like a warm heart to my soul. Each short stories and characters unexpectedly found what they are looking for in the library.

The Sonnets To Orpheus
by Rainer Maria Rilke

Beautiful but not many of the poems really spoke to me deeply, more of just a general vibe. Some made me download Duolingo and start German lessons! I could read a few lines now in German. Like "we like the white in the old man's beard"! And "dance the orange" and "who could point a finger at a smell" so that's exciting. Now if Rilke has written a poem that goes "he is my father she is my mother und meine Schwester ist sehr groß" I'll be in business. My favourite poem was "I welcome you, Ancient Coffins"

Amazing. All of the stories were off-putting and intriguing. The blizzard was claustrophobic and the best short story I have read in ages.
